The Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission (SBRM), founded in 1878, is the third oldest surviving mission in the United States. As the largest emergency homeless shelter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it provides housing for hundreds of people every night. Three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided for about 600 people every day of the year. The Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission is part of the Gospel Rescue Mission Association.

Emergency Shelter
Every night, the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission hosts 180 men in large emergency shelters. Men can book beds up to thirty days and at that time they are encouraged to join the Overcomer Program. During the winter months, if there are more than 180 men who want to sleep in the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, then an excess cot will be provided for anything wanting to stay the night.
Overcomer Program
Men are encouraged to join the Overcomer Program for a year concentrating on addiction recovery, discipleship, GED classes, community building, resume writing, and life skills training. All graduates have full-time jobs and start living life independently.
