Battelle Hall (originally known as Ohio Center ) is a 6.864 multi-purpose exhibition hall located in Columbus, Ohio, part of the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Opened as the Ohio Center on September 10, 1980, and although it is sometimes considered a white elephant due to its small size and seating capacity (concert fans usually find themselves driving to the Cincinnati Riverfront Coliseum, Indianapolis Market Arena, Detroit Joe Louis Arena, Cleveland Richfield Coliseum or Pittsburgh Mellon Arena), has been used for various events, including concerts (Conway Twitty, Devo, Elvis Costello & The Attractions, The Stray Cats, Rick Springfield, Kiss (2/19/84), Club Culture, Ratt , The Pointer Sisters, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Idol, Billy Ocean, Richard Marx, QueensrÃÆ'ÿche), trade shows, and sporting events such as the Mid-American Basketball men's tournament in 1993 and 1994. The exhibition hall is also home of professional wrestling cards from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s with monthly visits from the WWF and occasional WCW events. The 90,000 square foot (8,400 m 2 ) hall of the exhibition hall - 65,000 on the main floor and 25,000 on the balcony, and can be divided into two halls.
The first entertainment event at the facility was a comedian Rodney Dangerfield and a special guest of McGuffey Lane on September 20, 1980, which was attended by 6,677 people.

Unlike the arena, Battelle Hall has no permanent seats. Instead, the cheap plastic seats that stick to the metal benches are positioned in place for scheduled events.
