Palmoplantar hyperhidrosis is excessive localized sweating to the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. This is a form of focal hyperhidrosis because excessive sweating is restricted to certain body areas. Like other types of focal hyperhidrosis (eg axillary, craniofacial), sweat tends to worsen during warm weather.
